Glam, glitz & glory: Students dazzle at Jaipur’s Fresh Face Finale
After battling it out against students from across colleges, Jaipur’s freshest faces took to the stage for the grand finale of JOY Jaipur Times Fresh Face Season 14 powered by AcneStar, held at the Pink Square Mall on Friday evening. From singing and acting to beat-boxing and dancing, the students ensured that celebrity judges, actors Mohit Daga and Neha Joshi, had a tough time choosing the best from the rest.
TALENT GALORE
The finale kicked off with a ramp walk, followed by a talent round, where contestants – decked in designer outfits – showcased their skills in various art forms. Some of the highlights of the evening included an interesting narrative on ‘Save the girl child’ by Aryan Soni, a Korean song by Sukanya Sen, and an energetic belly dance performance by Vivek Mishra. Celebrity judge Neha shares, “I was amazed with few of the performances as students came up with unique and innovative ideas to showcase their talent. Creating something new is difficult. Be it their confidence or finesse, some of the contestants were outstanding.” During the ramp walk round, Neha helped a contestant, Riddhi Kapoor, overcome her performance anxiety, and even agreed for a do-over. Fellow celeb judge, Mohit Daga was hit by nostalgia at the event. “I’m feeling so nostalgic watching young boys and girls showcasing their talent and paving their path towards stardom. It took me to the old days, when I also participated in a contest and got into acting.”
AND THE WINNERS ARE
After an interesting Q&A with the top 10 finalists, the judges zeroed in on Mayank Sharma from Maharishi Arvind University, and Rashi Sharma from Arch College of Design and Business, as the winners of the city finale. Vivek Mishra from St Wilfred’s PG College, and Vanshika Sharma from Vivekananda Global University bagged the first runners-up titles, while Aryan Soni from St Wilfred’s PG College and Riddhi Kapoor were adjudged the second runners-up.
