Border team reunites at JP Dutta’s b’day in Jaipur

Filmmaker JP Dutta, who is fondly called Jaipur Dutta by Bollywood celebs owing to his love for Jaipur, celebrated his 70th birthday in the city recently. His wife Bindiya Goswami hosted a party for him in the lawns of a heritage property. The soirée turned into a reunion for the Border team.
The party saw celebrities like Randhir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar, Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonali Rathod in attendance.Dutta’s daughters Nidhi and Siddhi were also present. A source close to the family shared that Bindiya wanted to make her husband’s 70th birthday special. Since he loves Jaipur so much, his daughters and wife decided to host a party in his favourite city.
The guests included Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar, Randhir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan
In an earlier interview with us, JP Dutta had shared, “I have shot for many films including Gulami, Batwara, Kshatriya, Hathiyar, Umrao Jaan, Refugee, Border and LOC in Jaipur and few other cities of Rajasthan. Gulami, my first film, made me fall in love with the city.”Anu Malik said, “It was a lovely evening with JP Dutta saheb who is in love with Jaipur. We have worked together in several films that were shot here. We had a great time with our families joining us in the celebrations. Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar ji and I also sang the song Sandese Aate Hai from Border while recollecting old memories associated with the film.”
