Times Fresh Face Season 12 brought about a flurry of talented

students

to INIFD Dewas Naka on Saturday. All the students who had signed up for the registration drives at their respective colleges came prepared to woo the judges with their talent and wit. Each performance on stage was full of energy and confidence, while the answers to judges’ questions were also well thought. Such was the competition, that judges had a tough time picking out semi-finalists.

expert and a known socialite from the city Aarti Maheshwari was the judge for the auditions, and she was floored by the exceptional talent that students presented on stage. “When we were at their age, neither did we such platforms to showcase out talents, nor did we have this kind of confidence to perform in front of experts. I am so glad that they are getting recognition for their talents through big platforms like Times Fresh Face. Also, kudos to the students for managing to perform with grace in front of judges” says Aarti.

From all the participants who performed, only 19 were chosen for semi-finals, and they will now

battle

it out again to make it to the city finale. Some of the participants came all the way from Mhow to perform. Ankit Soni, one of the semi-finalists who presented one of his original poems on the LGBTQI community shares, “I want my writings to reach a bigger audience so that such messages are understood by the masses. And what better platform than this”. Likewise Rohan Sharma, a student who aspires to be an actor says, “I had been waiting for Indore audition and followed the updates online. When I got to know registrations opened I put down my name immediately. I feel such a stage will give me leverage that an actor needs”.

Every performance was truly unique as beatboxers, rappers, dancers and mentalist tried their luck at the audition. Other participants too had a good time watching fellow students perform and cheered them on with applause.
