Derby Sunday brings along racing horses, fancy hats and sundresses

After a successful stint in its debut last year,

Indore Derby

came back to the city for second season. This season too, saw the elite of Indore don their best of derby dressing on Sunday. Women flaunted myriad hats complete with frills and net flourish, while men sported uber cool jackets and polo tees. The sunny weather with a pleasant breeze made it an enjoyable day out for the 800 guests that attended the race at Bicholi Mardana ground.

who was a participated in the event shared, “With the pleasant weather we are experiencing, attending derby made for a perfect Sunday noon outing. It was also fun to see everyone wearing English hats and dresses for the occasion”.

participated, all of them were thoroughbred and warm blood horses from Delhi, Jaipur, Bombay, Pune,

Nashik

and Indore. In the end, Rich n Rare, an eight-year-old female thoroughbred owned by Shweta and Prassan Kedia won the race. Followed by Adam’s Creation owned by Meghna and Nitesh Wadhwani and Sherafgam owned by Preeti and Monu Bhatia, who bagged the second and third position in the race.
