Stadium turned into a headbangers’ ball when a bunch of dynamic musical acts from across the country made audiophiles in the city groove for five hours straight at the weekend.

From alternative, post rock to electronica and acoustic sets, the concert boasted of a stellar line-up that included Mumbai’s veteran electro-rockers

The evening kicked off on a spirited note as DJ Mojojojo spun some peppy tracks from his yet-to-be-released album for the hordes of screaming fans who flocked the venue hours before the gig began hoping to find the perfect spot to catch their favourite artistes. Next was Bengaluru-based indie folk/blues trio, Cinema of Excess, who belted a lively set comprising their popular originals such as Wide Awake and Light Of Your Life.

The energy of the crowd was running high when alt rock/fusion quintet Anand Bhaskar Collective took to the stage. They kept the crowd
engaged with their periodic exchanges and their hit Tere Bina, garnered a thumping applause. Post rock quartet aswekeepsearching’s electrifying
performance under the smoky blue lights created a surreal atmosphere. It was tight performances and chants for an encore kept ringing long after the band had left the stage.

Electronica exponent Dualist Inquiry belted a standard set and filled the venue with rhythmic beats and groovy interludes creating a perfect ambience for veteran rockers Pentagram to take over. And boy did they do it! Led by Bollywood music composer and vocal powerhouse, Vishal Dadlani, the electro-rock quartet proved yet again why they are a potent force in the Indian indie scene. Hits such as Voice, Nocturne and In My Head stirred a storm among fans who headbanged riotously to their monstrous riffs.
