Tolly stars, Socialites at the grand finale of the Times Biryani and Haleem Contest, 2012 in Hyderabad

It was a night that paid an ode to the two most popular Hyderabadi dishes — biryani and haleem. The grand finale of the Times Biryani and Haleem Contest, 2012, saw Tolly bigwigs, top bureaucrats and city socialites savour the yummy food while being regaled by soulful ghazals by maestro Pankaj Udhas.
The amphitheatre at Shilpakala Vedika was chockablock with guests who applauded every number crooned by Udhas. The ghazal maestro on his part obliged the audience with requests like Chaandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera and Aur Aahista Kijiye Baatein, among others. He also crooned some of his popular Bollywood tunes including Chitthi Aayee Hai.
