It was a rare fashion show. More than the physical attributes of the contestants, their confidence and attitude grabbed the audience attention. If the gentleman officers harped on adventurism and determination, the pretty contestants claimed to be equal and multi-taskers when asked if they can manage both home and office. The lovely evening turned out to be a couples day out as they enjoyed the ramp show over a drink and cheered the participants right through.

I was surprised to find amateurs striding the ramp like true professionals, says Madhushalini, an actor and one of the judges at the show. The well-lighted open-air auditorium was packed and cadets applauded their batch mates with song and dance! Sashank and Vandana were crowned Mr and Miss CTW(Cadet Training Wing) respectively to wind up the annual ball. It was a great show, said a young guest Anandini Singh. While another judge Mala Pasha, a theatre personality, felt that the queries posed to the contestants were convoluted. It could have been simple and straight, she opines. The spirit of the show continued as the cadets and gentleman officers along with their wives let their hair down and grooved to some Hindi chartbusters.
