Rahul Bose wows Hyderabadi audience

Rahul Bose had no problem keeping the crowd hooked as he spoke about his love for cinema and rugby. While the talk itself was about a serious topic — ‘Workable Leadership Practices’ — Bose turned it into an evening of fun and laughter with his inimitable style. The session was held at

which was packed to the hilt. When people were waiting for the mike to ask questions, Bose said, “The one with the mike has all the power,” eliciting quite a few laughs from the crowd. While talking about why a good leader should inculcate a sense of team spirit, Bose said, “I have learnt while playing rugby, if you don’t work as a team you will die,” adding, “If you want to lead from the front then underpromise and overdeliver. Also, shame the system into noticing you.”
When a member of the audience asked him, what would he choose if he had to choose between acting and sports, Bose replied promptly, “If you really, really push me to choose between acting or sport… I still can’t!” Post that, he was asked, why he chose to do such a bigoted role in

to which Bose remarked, “You see, Manav wasn’t evil, he was just an a**hole. It was well-written character and I guess I acted so well, that people actually believed I am a chauvinist in real life as well.” Bose had a quirky idea about how

could help regional cinema — “Stop making Bollywood movies,” he said, joking. “But on a serious note, if a movie makes 100 crores, then the makers should give away a couple of crores to promote regional cinema,” added Bose. Courteous as always, Rahul Bose, ended his talk on a high-note, saying, “There is a Japanese saying, ‘the greatest honor a person can give you is listening’, so thank you, folks.” Cheers to that!
