Aamer Javeed (TOI Photo)After a long time, here was an interactive play that enthralled the discerning audience that came to watch Yudhishtar and Draupadi, staged in the beautiful amphitheatre of Saptaparni.
Mohammed Ali Baig is certainly keeping the theatre scene alive in Hyderabad.
About the play –– Salim Ghouse as Yudhishtar was impressive.
His presence commanded rapt attention. And Anita Salim as Draupadi, beautifully used dance as a form of expression to emote complicated, grey emotions of the character...
The play also emphasised the fact that all arts are related and mere expressions of creativity. It used poetry, music and borrowed the best from languages to connect with the audience.

While the Saturday performance was enjoyed by Rekha and Kuldeep Bhartee, AK Khan, Aamer Javeed, who’s back from his pilgrimage to the Mecca, the Sunday evening show was attended by Aparna Roddam, Anand Kabra, Savita Menon and many others.
