Malavika thrilled to make her dream debut in Tollywood opposite Vijay

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming sports thriller Hero has officially gotten underway and the film’s shoot will kick-start in Delhi soon. Petta star Malavika Mohanan is set to make her Tollywood debut with this Anand Annamalai directorial, and needless to say, the actress is “super excited”. “This is exactly how I imagined my Tollywood debut would be. Vijay is an amazing actor and I’m looking forward to teaming up with him.
In fact, the whole cast of the movie is wonderful. I can’t wait to start shooting,” gushes an excited Malavika, who will be joining the film’s shoot in June. The Beyond the Clouds actress plays a musician in the film, while Vijay essays the role of a motorcycle racer. Prod her a bit more about her character and she says, “My character has a very interesting graph. She’s a modern, independent girl who has many different layers to her. She’s emotional, strong and vulnerable, all at the same time. I think my character will be extremely relatable.” What excites Malavika about Hero, are the different layers that the script has. “It’s got a bit of everything in it — it’s got sports, drama and a lot of music. Our director had written the dialogue for Kaaka Muttai (the National Award-winning Tamil comedy-drama), so like I said, it’s a great team to work with,” reveals Malavika. Interestingly, the 26-year-old wants to dub her own voice for the film and is already working hard on her Telugu diction. “I think voice is an important part of an actor’s performance. I don’t like listening to someone else’s voice when I am on screen. I have already started taking Telugu classes and I hope I get to dub for myself,” she says, signing off.
