It just took a few minutes for the girls of St. Pious Degree College to get over their shyness and put their best foot forward for the Hyderabad Times Fresh Face 2011 Contest.
The do was almost like a festival, held amidst much jubilation and joy. Elegance and etiquette could be used to describe the performances of the girls who kept the audiences and the judges entertained throughout.

The jury boasted of cricketer Pragyan Ojha, designer Zubin Vakil and RJ Bharat. The jury members made a grand entry amidst screaming fans who could hardly contain their excitement. Even the teachers could not hide their elation and were spotted encouraging the participants to deliver their best.
The girls showcased their singing and dancing skills with confidence as they tried their hands at everything from classical dance to English pop numbers.
After the first round, five girls were shortlisted for the second round during which the jury members put fun questions to the girls. While Zubin Vakil's warmth and cordiality encouraged the girls to speak their minds without inhibitions, RJ Bharat stirred laughs with his humor. It was also endearing to see a few girls blush while they interacted with Pragyan Ojha. His fans were spotted having a gala time as they flooded him with requests to pose for pictures and sign autographs. Bharat also shook a leg with a few contestants to "Shiela Ki Jawaani"
The venue was resonating with cheers which continued even during the announcement of the results. While the third runner-up was R Deepti who impressed the jury with her classical dance, the second and first runners-up were Elizabeth Rani and Sreelatha Jagdishan respectively. The tall and pretty Shazia Fatima who gracefully danced to "Barso Re" made it to the top with the highest scores.
