Hyderabad’s landmarks were drenched in colours of the
tiranga on the eve of India’s 73rd
Independence Day on Wednesday. From Golconda Fort and Buddha Statue at Tank Bund to Kacheguda Railway Station and Burgula Rama Krishna Rao Bhavan at Adarsh Nagar, several prominent spots in the city looked magical as they were lit up in saffron, white and green-coloured lights.
Trails of tiny LED lights adorned the walls of the Golconda Fort while the Buddha Statue alternated between saffron, white and green hues at rhythmic intervals.
The gigantic tricolour at Sanjeeviah Park made for a perfect backdrop for the Buddha stature, adding an extra zing to the picturesque sight. Photographers, selfie lovers and city bloggers had a field day, as many were spotted clicking pictures in and around these venues until late in the night.
