Actress
Nabha Natesh, who took time off to spend Ganesh Chaturthi with her family in Bengaluru, also decided to make her own
Ganesha idol. The actress says, it was both “exhilarating and exhausting”.
“Ganesh Chaturthi is one of my favourite festivals and I’m always trying to do something different each year. This year, I decided to make a Ganesha idol from scratch. Although, the idol looks small, there’s a lot of work that goes into it.
I spent nearly 12 hours at a stretch to get this idol ready in time for puja,” shares the Ismart Shankar actress.
The Bengaluru girl feels making the idol from scratch was an eye-opener for her. “It just makes you realise how difficult it is to make these idols. Initially, I thought I would start the process, take a break and resume later. But clay hardens very quickly and you have to keep going. It was hard work, but it was worth the effort. I did get a little help from my dad too, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi this way,” she adds.
