Gujarat royalty gets a taste of Hyderabad’s mehman nawazi
On Friday night,
Sherry Javeri
hosted an elegant dinner in honour of the royal family members from Limbdi, Gujarat. His HighnessMaharaja Chatrasalji
of Limbdi,Princess Urmila
of Kathiwada and Her Highness Snehlata of Limbdi who are on a visit to the city seemed pretty impressed by Hyderabad’s mehman nawazi. “I am really looking forward to the visit to Falaknuma Palace,” said the Maharaja, adding, that he will decide the rest of his itinerary after talking with Sherry. One must say, that despite being wheelchair-bound since both her feet are plastered due to a recent mishap during her visit to Delhi, Sherry did not leave any stone unturned to make sure that all her guests were well-attended to. The lawns of her bungalow, which was decorated elegantly with tasteful little lamps, vintage furniture and hand-painted cushions, made for a perfect setting. The conversations ranged from interesting anecdotes about how everyone in the party knows the host and became friends with her to current affairs and politics. The guests were served delicious mutton biryani, cashew chicken, kati dal, shami kebab straight from the hearth. The guests also loved the refresher that Sherry’s son Aalim had rustled up with ingredients like chillies, tobasco sauce and mint.Top Comment
