Faithful remember the Passion of Christ at St. Joseph Cathedral on Good Friday

, a dramatic representation of the

Passion of Jesus

Christ portraying his trial, pain and crucifixion, was staged in the premises of St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Basheer Bagh in the city on the occasion of Good Friday.

Over 400 people from all walks of society gathered at the venue early in the morning to witness the staging that evoked the feeling of piety among the devout.

The spectators watched in rapt attention as different scenes were enacted by the actors and hoards of youth were seen pulling out their mobile phones to capture the spectacle.

Dressed in authentic costumes, the artistes depicted Biblical scenes with utmost sincerity and it captivated the audience as sounds of

whip

cracking, sombre music and silent tears filled
the venue.
