It was a scintillating rangapravesham for Kuchipudi dancer Darshana Muralidhar as she regaled a packed Ravindra Bharathi with a 120-minute-long performance on Sunday.
A host of artistes, academicians, bureaucrats and socialites graced the occasion to encourage the artiste and were captivated by the 17-year-old’s skills, stamina and flexibility.
Performing five pieces, Darshana, a disciple of Deepika Reddy, began with an invocation titled Ganesha Pancharathnam and followed it up with three other performances, before ending the recital with a thillana in Dhanashri raag.
The auditorium echoed with rapturous applause as she took a bow before the audience at the end.
