Annual children’s theatre fest ends on euphoric high

After delighting young theatre enthusiasts of the city for three days, the eight edition of

Hyderabad Children’s Theatre Festival 2017

concluded amid much adulation at

Shilpakala Vedika

recently. This year, the annual festival saw three plays that brought a slew of amateur and professional theatre performers to the city.
On Day 1, an English play

Keep Calm and Dance

amused a packed house. It explored the everyday challenges of school-going children through elements of dance theatre and was well appreciated by the gathering with a standing ovation. Day 2, saw

Rang Rangeela Gittu Girgit

charming the audience with its message of conservation of nature. With a humble chameleon as its protagonist, the Mumbai-based production showcased how nature is slowly losing a war against humans and spread awareness about the impending danger of global warming.
The concluding day of the festival witnessed a play, '

Taming Of The Wild

.' By staging various interactions between humans and beautiful forms of nature such as butterflies, fish and trees in four episodes, the production highlighted the relationship between nature and humans. On all the three days the festival witnessed a great reception from the audience.
