Featuring 67 photographs that reflect two ages, two timelines and two perspectives, the father-daughter duo
Shankar and Maanasi put up a photo exhibition, which they uniquely titled ‘Baap Beti 22/55.’ Shankar’s journey into photography started with his dad’s camera many years ago. And his daughter Maanasi also started off with her father’s camera.
While Shankar captures life at a macro scale, Maanasi’s shots are more object and detail-oriented. “Both of us are interested in travelling around and looking at things and photographing people and places. So that’s what we’ve tried to depict here,” says Shankar an architect by profession.
The aesthetic photographs were displayed using cardboard frames and black frames, some of which showcased some stunning pictures that they took when they travelled to Ladakh. “I don’t take landscapes and buildings that are macroscape. I take details and products because as a product designer I’m used to working with products,” says Maanasi.
