An engaging weekend of theatre
City theatre group Sutradhar hosted plays of the renowned Padatik Theatre of Kolkata at
Lamakaan
this week. The first play, Yahan, staged on Nov 11, portrayed the thoughts and feelings of two women through different episodes, and their need to connect with oneself and with each other. The actorsSanchayita Bhattacharjee
andAnubha Fatepuria
did quite a commendable job in bringing out the sensitivity of the play. The second play, Camera Obscuras follows a hypothetical scenario wherein God switches on the TV and sees the world. The stories were malignant and violent, yet entertaining. Starting off as a comedy, it soon turns dark. The stunning performance of Anubha Fatehpuria andPradip Mitra
was lauded by the audience.end of article
