Sunday evening turned out to be just that for theater lovers in the city who headed to watch the play “Love on the Brink” directed by Lilette Dubey.
Though the show was delayed due to technical difficulties, the audience refused to let their excitement die down as they anticipated a great performance. The play was about two friends who meet after a long time.

One of them, Chops, is successful while the other, Bandy, is depressed and suicidal. As the play unfolds, Anu, Chop’s wife, and Bandy fall in love and what follows provides for many hilarious situations. The sequences which evoked the loudest laughs from the audience were the ones where the two friends argued about whose childhood was more depressing and the one where Anu, played by Ira Dubey, shows the sex-chart made by her. The lighting and the sound effects set the perfect mood and the audience enjoyed the performance immensely.
