This Sunday saw raahgirs paint the raahgiri path for a road safety awareness campaign. They also made installations from scrap for the campaign, apart from the weekly dose of fitness with dance, yoga and cycling. Krisha wants to spread awareness about wastage of food, as she believes that if people don’t waste food and a passage is made for the surplus food to reach the hungry, the world will be a better place.
She said, “My best friend and I came up with the idea of eliminating hunger in Gurgaon. We are requesting people not to waste food and give the surplus food away to the ones in need. We also organised a flash mob at the MGF Metropolitan Mall for the same.”
Krisha’s mother, Garima, added, “We came to Raahgiri to gather people for the flash mob, for which around 1,000 people registered with us. It was really nice of Times of India to give us a chance to use the stage for this cause. They supported us and without them, Krisha’s wish wouldn’t have been realized.”
