The early monsoon showers brought the mercury down in Gurgaon over the weekend, which meant that the cool weather and the breeze made it easier to head out. For the
adventure
junkies of Gurgaon, this was good news as the second edition of Ultimate Track Warrior was organised on Saturday evening. The event had participants try their hand at various obstacles ranging from off-road driving to crawling through a water pit and climbing rope and bamboo obstacles to descending through a zipline, at a specially created course at Off Road Adventure Zone – a small off-roading track just off Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.

Over 50 participants tried their hand at the course with varying success. While some found the track itself not so difficult, they were challenged by the sheer number of obstacles. Arjun Yadav, a 19-year-old student from Gurgaon, said, “The course wasn’t difficult, but it was challenging. Since it was my first time, I made a small error that cost me. But it was really fun.” Many were happy that the weather was pleasant which made it easier for them to challenge themselves. “It wasn’t hot as it has been all past month, which made it slightly easier. The different thing about this event is that it challenges you in many ways, from driving to running and endurance too. I hope to do it again and improve my performance,” said Vineet, a Delhi-based student.
