Ghosts, ghouls and zombies' day out in Gurgaon on Halloween

Normally when there are murmurs of ghosts, the Devil and some undead walking around in an area, kids try to steer clear of that place. But on Sunday – Halloween – at

, it was quite the opposite. In a fun Halloween celebration that saw cosplayers from Delhi and Gurgaon dress up as spooky characters, several kids got the chance to get their pictures clicked and even get some candy.

, a cosplayer who came dressed as the Devil, said, "It was an amazing experience. I was able to interact with those cute kids while in costume which made it all the more special." Rohit Jain, parent of a 5-year-old who visited the celebrations, told us, "People often ask as to what is the need to observe it since it is not our festival but that is the beauty of living in a cosmopolitan city like Gurgaon. You are exposed to all cultures. Kids today have equal fun on Halloween and Diwali."

The cosplayers then went around the popular marketplace, making merry while still in costume, much to the amusement of some of the shoppers and revellers around. "This is what is most fun about cosplaying, just having fun and giving others some joy," said
