Celebrating Gurgaon's finest flavours
The food spread at the Times Food & Nightlife Awards, Gurgaon felt like a walk through the city’s dining scene – diverse, experimental and still deeply rooted in comfort faves. Guests sampled their way across cuisines, with dahi kebabs, soupy dumplings and California sushi sharing space with rigatoni arrabbiata and parmigiana, reflecting the way Gurgaon eats today.
Indian flavours remained at the heart of the spread, with tokri chaat, kulchas, jimikand-hare seb ke galauti kebab and nawabi tarkari biryani drawing guests back to the counters more than once. Signature cocktails with quirky names, like Khai Ke Paan, Speakeasy Sour and Matcha Mia added a playful note to the evening, as guests moved between food counters discussing their favourite restaurants and new openings.
Having spent time in Delhi earlier, Nikita Dutta shared that food has always been one of her favourite things about the city. “I consider myself a true foodie – I am someone who genuinely loves to appreciate flavour, cuisines, and all sorts of things related to food.”
About her love for Dilli ka khaana, Nikita said, “I stayed in Delhi long ago. I think of a couple of places that have been my go-to, one being Nathu’s, the other being Gulati’s. On an ideal holiday, I love to indulge… I love chaat. I can eat it for all three meals in a day.”
