Awareness drive on usage of high beam headlights in Gurgaon

The Road Safety Organisation, along with Gurugram Traffic Police conducted an awareness drive on usage of high beam on Sunday night

NGO volunteers and police personnel led the drive

The campaign, conducted at MDI Chowk in Gurgaon, was called #HighBeamNotOk and saw volunteers from the NGO and police personnel educate motorists about avoiding high beam headlights

Using mirrors to spread awareness

During the campaign, RSO and police teams held mirrors to reflect the high beam upon drivers to make them realize how driving at high beam makes approaching vehicles and pedestrians blind

​Knowing when to switch headlights

Volunteers informed that to increase visibility to other riders and avoid hazards, it is very important to switch headlights to high beam and low beam according to the weather and the time of day

​Using low beam to ensure safety

Traffic police personnel told the motorists that it is best advised to switch to low beam when you see an approaching vehicle to ensure safety
