A mela to celebrate Teej and Raksha Bandhan in Gurgaon

To celebrate the festivals of Teej and Raksha Bandhan, a mela was organised at Sector 49, Vatika City on Saturday. There were a number of food stalls with mouth-watering food, kids play zone, music, and swings. People including the residents of Vatika City participated in the event. Women were dressed in traditional clothes to celebrate the festivals.
‘It was pleasant to spend some time with my family.Teej is a very important festival for me and as I am working, I was not able to do anything for the festival. Through this Mela, I was able to make the arrangements for the festival,” said Neha, a resident of Vatika City.
There were rides and swings for kids
Various stalls of mehndi, clothes, jewellery , hats and other things kept the public engaged. To make the festival more lively and happening, arrangements for dancing and singing were also there.
Kids had a lot of fun drawing and painting at the event
