Youth join in to spread awareness about HIV
The public fest saw at least 1000 people in attendance, engaging school students, young people, general public, organizations and various departments of the government to create awareness on issues related to HIV/AIDS. The event saw young people sharing their opinions, thoughts and suggestions in tune with the theme “equalize” through their participation in activities, competitions, interactive sessions, games and other creatives on offline and digital platforms.
At sundown, people present at the venue got together for a candlelight memorial service, to light the red ribbon as a sign of reverence to those who lost their lives to the virus.
