World Theatre Day celebrations at Government College of Quepem

Department of English of Government College of Quepem celebrated

World Theatre Day

on 28th March with performance of a Marathi play ‘

Hattmalchya Palyad

’ performed by Theatre Flamingo. The play was originally written by Bengali playwright Badal Sirkar and translated by Anirudh Deodhar. The play was directed by Mandar Devsthali. The actors Prajakta Kavlekar, Shrawan Fondekar and Pranav Tengse performed the play.

The play is an intimate form of theatre that includes involvement with the audience. The students of the college thoroughly enjoyed the act. Shrutika Angadkar and

Durva

compèred the programme. Dr Tanvi Bambolkar welcomed and thanked the actors. Amodi Sanap of theatre flamingo was also present and shared the concept of 10 by 20 theatre.

Theatre Flamingo has been performing intimate theatre in various places in Goa and outside.
