Traffic details for 31 December at Calangute

· Vehicles proceeding towards Calangute will be diverted at St. Alex Church via St. Anthony Chapel– St. Joseph School– Baga Circle (Calangute).

· The road from Baga Circle (Calangute) towards Baga Beach will be ‘ONE WAY’ and no vehicle will be allowed from Baga Beach side towards Baga Circle.

· No vehicles (except two wheelers at earmarked parking lots) will be allowed to park on either side of the road from Baga Circle (Calangute) to Baga Bridge.

· No vehicles will be allowed to park on either side of the road (except at the earmarked parking lots) from Sinquerim Bus Stop to Candolim.


“The Calangute-Baga-Anjuna-Arpora roads will be jam packed,” informed a police official. “There are cops deployed at various areas and tourists and locals will be guided. We request people to obey the instructions as this could lead to more traffic jams.” He adds, “There will be checks done on people for drinking and driving, negligent driving and others. These are regular checks which will be conducted all over.”
