Not just students of Chowgule, but students from many other colleges from across the state were excited to be a part of Goa’s only
Though there’s a growing interest in cosplay among Goan youngsters, not many events take place, which is why students visit Comic Con events in Mumbai or Bangalore. Crystal Fernandes, SYBA student from Chowgule College who was cosplaying Enchantress from Suicide Squad, says, “Last December we went to Mumbai Comic Con and I won a prize there! I have made everything from scratch, including all the jewellery.”
Zoya Rebelo was dressed as the anime character Jessie from Team Rocket. Students got together in groups to create their costumes. Tefencia Barretto was the mascot representing
Abhirajsinh Bhatti was dressed as Harlequinn, The King of Fairies. Abigail Rodrigues from Carmel College, who was there as Hela wanted to kill all the “stupid human beings!” She adds, “I made this costume with my mom’s help. It took us two days to stitch the costume. The headgear was a disaster initially, but we managed.”

. “I’m taking the role of Effie Trinket for this year’s event. I love to dress up and that’s why I chose Effie, as her costumes are very flashy and I felt that it would stand out in a crowd. There were five of us working on the costume and props, like the mirror and microphone.
