The Sangodd sets sail along the river Sal

Assolna celebrated Sangodd, the festival honouring the patrons of fishermen, St Peter and St Paul, on Friday.
The members of the four wards of Assolna – Culmorod, Chandlewaddo, Gainewaddo and Tariwaddo – came together to celebrate, and dance, as the Sangodd, created by the fishermen by tying three wooden canoes together, sailed along the river Sal.
