The School of Symbiosis, Karai, Shiroda, celebrated Vanmohatsav and
World Population Day in their school to make students aware about the ill effects of increasing population on our environment and importance of planting trees. The main objective of this programme was to make students understand that “excess of anything is bad” and growing trees is a need of an hour. The special virtual assembly was conducted through Google meet, where around 51 students participated virtually for this special assembly.
The assembly began with the beautiful prayer by teachers Richa, Afee, Disha and
Shashank. All teachers along with the headmaster, Benjamin Rocha, enjoyed the planting of saplings. While talking to the students and teachers the headmaster Benjamin said, “Students and teachers should do their part and to equally participate in everything to transform the world. We have to continue the good work and to fall in love with nature.” Chairman of the school, Subhash Shirodkar, addressed about unique day of the world and stressed that we all are dependent on nature.
