Special post card released on World Nature Conservation Day by postal department

On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day 2020, a pack of Picture Post Cards on

of Goa (Series-I) was released by Santosh Kumar, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden, Goa Forest Department, Panaji andDr N Vinodkumar, Postmaster General,

Goa Region

, Panaji on July 28, 2020. After release of pack of Picture Post Cards, Dr Sudhir Gopal Jakhere, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Goa informed that these Picture Post Cards are released to highlight sustainable use of the

resources

and the importance of birds in maintaining ecological bio-diversity. “There is the need to prevent man and nature conflict to create a sustainable eco-system,” emphasised Vinodkumar.

congratulated the Goa Postal Division for the initiative to bring awareness among general public to protect our natural resources on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day 2020.

The Pack of Picture Post Cards will be available in two different Packs viz. Plain Pack and Cancelled Pack consisting of 10 Nos Picture Post Cards each. The rate of Plain Pack will be Rs 150 each whereas the rate of Cancelled Pack will be Rs 250 each and the same will be available at Philatelic Counter in Panaji Head Post Office.
