Making and Konkani Poetry recitation competition. It proved to be a successful medium to allow them to showcase their talents and creativity. Children of the age group of 4 to 8 years took part in the Wallpaper Making Competition. The topic for the same was ‘Environmental

A total of 40 kids from different parts of the state participated in the same. Aashni Nikhil Pai Dukle from Bhatikar Model Primary School, Margao; Navya Prabhudessai from St. Joseph Primary school, Gudi-Quepem, bagged the First Place in the Wallpaper making Competition. Ayra Shaikh from the Kings School, Margao; Lakshy Vinay Bhagat Ghudekar from Vidya Bharati Primary school, Kombe Margao bagged the Second place while Shivank Ramesh Chari from Dnyanvikas High School, Porvorim – Goa; Shrishti Siddhesh Alve from Vidyabhuvan Konkani School, Margao and Suprit Sarkar from Don Bosco High School, Panaji claimed the third place.

The Consolation Prizes for the Wallpaper making competition were bagged by Avni Naik from Vidyabhuvan Konkani School, Aquem-Margao; Sanvi Yashwant Malgaonkar from Shri. Shantadurga Primary School, Bicholim; Gandharv Parwar from Saraswati Primary School, kavle; Vidhi Vikas Prabhu from Vidyabhuvan Konkani school, Aquem Margao; Shlok Borkar from Vidya Bharati Primary school, Kombe-Margao; Kanak Ravi Monkar from Good Shepard School; Tvisha Vallabh Desai from Shri Saraswati Vidyamandir, Canacona; Charan Soma Sinari from Government Primary School, Amona; Sasha Bandodkar from Green Rozary, Dona Paula & Anurag Abhijit Nabar from Saraswat Vidyalaya, Mapusa.

Kids of the age group 9 to 12 years took part in The Konkani Poem Recitation competition. The topic for the same was ‘Nature’. It was really nice to see many of the participants presenting their own Poems while the others recited poems written by Goan Poets.

The First Place was shared between, Ayan Mangaldas Bhat from Government Primary school, Ghati Rivona & Shreeya Amol Barve from Eden Primary and Pre Primary School, Mapusa.

The second place was shared by Shreeja Siddhesh Alve from Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Margao; Avnesh Rupesh Lingadkar from Dnyanvikas School, Porvorim & Aviya Parag Naik from St. Joseph Institute, Vasco da Gama. While the Third Place was also shared between Sana Sudhakar Satlekar from Harmal Panchkroshi High School, Harmal; Deepkrishna Harish Kamat from G.S.Amonkar Vidyamandir, Mapusa & Saatvik Siddhesh Prabhudessai from Shraddhanand High School, Poinguinim.Similarly, The Consolation Prizes were claimed by Tosha Rajesh Naik from Presentation Convent High School; Ojal Gajanan Raikar from Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, margao; Archies Kavlekar from Shri Saraswati Vidyalaya, Kavle; Parth Naik from Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya, Mashe; Bhuvi Yogesh Karmali from Bhatikar Model English High School, Margao; Sankarshan Prasad Sinari from Bhatikar Model Primary School, Margao; Atharv Kakodkar from New Educational Institution, Kudchadi; Durva Hemant Kansar from Government School, Sanvoy-Verem; Avni Vitthal Sawant from Vidya Vruddhi Secondary School; Gargi Parab from Government Primary School, Vinoda; Sharvi Sharad Gaunekar from Utkarsha Vidyamandir, Ponda.

The entire event was organised through the Online Mode and was definitely a great success. The children as well as their Parents had a memorable time. The Prizes for both the competitions were sponsored by Bimb Publications, Harsha Shetye and Abhinav Creationz. All the technical assistance was provided by Deeptej Dhauskar, a student of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa. The Competitions were judged by Senior Journalist and Sahitya Academy Awardee, Writer Dilip Borkar and Ms. Mansi Dhauskar.
