Mrugana Sawaikar wins the 16th Radha Mukund Naik Elocution

Mrugana Sawaikar of Dhempo Higher Secondary School, Panaji won the first prize in the 16th Radha Mukund Naik Elocution Competition organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal in collaboration with Dnyanprasarak Mandal College (DMC) at Aasgaon. The second prize went to Nidhi Naik of Shree Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Kawale while the third prize went to Larya Fernandes of Harmal Panchkroshi Higher Secondary School, Pedne. Nilambuj Thakur of Government Higher Secondary School, Valpoi, Sarvadnya Patil of S Samiti Higher Secondary School and Shervin Myron Dias of Rosary Higher Secondary School received the consolation prizes. The competition was recently held in the auditorium of the college.

Twenty-nine contestants from higher secondary schools in Goa participated in the competition. Kuldeep Kamat, Assistant Professor, Vidya Prabodhini College, Parvari; Siddhi Gawas, Assistant Professor, Government College, Sankhali; Antara Bhide, Assistant Professor, GVM’S Dada Vaidya College of Education, were the judges of the competition. The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Prof. D B Arolkar, principal of DMC College. Subhash Naik and Prashant Naik, sons of Radha Mukund Naik, the sponsors of the competition were also Present. Anwesha Singbal, President, Konkani Bhasha Mandal welcomed the dignitaries. Vice Principal of the college Rashmi Redkar gave the vote of thanks. Purushottam
Verlekar and Purva Gude coordinated the competition. Divya Patil, student of the college, compered the programme.
