The King’s School (TKS) hosted its fifth Ride to Conquer Cancer 5.0 on January 10, 2021 in aid of Cancer Patients Welfare. This edition of the ride adopted a coast hugging route riding and driving from The King’s School, Salcette to the seascape of Dona Paula and Miramar beach besides riding along River Zuari at Chicalim, Cortalim, Agacaim and later along the banks of the Mandovi from Campal to Ribandar, ending at the historic and majestic Viceroy’s Arch, Old Goa.
The Ride had 40 registered bikes, a service bike and 33 cars. Funds raised through the ride amounted to Rs 2,55,011 while 168 persons participated in the ride.

Cheques were disbursed to three needy cancer patients amounting to Rs 1,55,000 –including a 4-year-old boy suffering from leukaemia, a 50-year-old ailing cancer patient and a throat cancer patient we have assisted over the years. The ride was flagged off by Annette Pereira, Founder of Childcare School, Margao. Cheques were handed out by Asif Khan (Goa Royal Riders), Kawaljeet Singh Saini (Saini Motors) and Rohit Mehta (HOGs).All Covid-19 protocols and SOPs were followed.
