Mangal Murti Morya at Miramar

One and a half days after Ganesh Chaturthi, several devotees immersed their Ganpati idols at Miramar Beach on Friday, while chanting Ganpati Bappa Morya and Mangal Murti Morya.
Most Goans were careful to use only eco-friendly idols this year, so as to not pollute the state’s water bodies.
Shubhada Dalvi, from Miramar, who was present with her family at the beach, told us, “We are not only ensuring we don’t pollute the waters, but we have also removed the garland from our idol before immersion, and will be planting the seeds from its flowers in our garden.”
