Actress Iti Acharya who works in Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil industries, was at IFFI to support the fraternity. “This is my first time at IFFI. We all need to feel alive after the testing times during the pandemic, and IFFI is so vibrant. The aura here fills me with joy. I’m attending IFFI to support regional films. I have done films in five languages so far.

Pandemic has had a very bad impact on regional films and this industry needs encouragement from festivals like these. We need to support regional cinema since there’s so much potential, the same way we support foreign languages.”
She is a frequent traveller to Goa and says, “My fondest memory here would be when I travelled to Goa before the pandemic with my family. We had a short but memorable trip. With my work schedule, I barely get time with my family, and this Goa trip helped me reconnect with them. The thing I love the most about Goa are the people, and the beach. I am a water baby. I get very attracted to beaches. I’ve travelled to Goa so many times and have friends here. It feels like a second home. I have my favourite beaches and eating joints too.” Ask her, how she spends her time in Goa, she says, “I love spending time at the beach. I love star gazing, watching sunrises and sunsets from the beach. I do yoga and take little walks by the shore, eat by the sea, sunbathe and read.”
