Goan artistes collaborate to release coronavirus awareness song in Konkani

Several Goan artistes have got together to create a coronavirus awareness music

video

from the confines of their homes. They've filmed the entire video indoors at their respective houses before compiling it. The lyrics of the song penned by Saiesh Poi Panandikar depicts the current scenario, it further requests people to stay home and help keep Goa safe.

actors Prince Jacob and Salil Naik, choreographers Pooja and Aparna and mimicry artiste Saidutt Kamat among others.

The initiative of making the song with Goan artistes was taken by Aniket Naik, who had previously directed the Konkani film ‘Amizade’. "I saw various artistes from different industries collaborating to make short films and music videos. So I thought why not bring artistes from the Konkani industry together to do something during the lockdown. We got Saiesh on board to write the lyrics and started looking for singing talent. We conducted virtual auditions and rounded up on Aniket, who also had a recording setup at home and could record it there. Then I virtually directed the shooting process and worked with the editor online to create the final music video," says Aniket.
