Talking about how this remix came about, he says, "I did this remix for fun. Deepika uploaded the song and it started blowing up from there. It wasn't released anywhere. Since many people were searching for the song, I decided to remix it by extracting the audio from her reel. I edited the video in a very appealing way, with transitions and it caught the eye of the director. It reached him when I just had 5000 views, and then Siddhant (Chaturvedi) shared it and tagged me in his story. Ankur Tewari pitched my song to a music label and they picked it up."

The song uploaded on YouTube has over half a million views and over 2,00,000 views on

Reels

, with several artistes using the song in their own reels. It's also officially released on all music streaming platforms. "It's a huge achievement and a highlight of my career. I've been making music for the last nine years. I DJ across across genres – hip hop,

EDM

, Bollywood. I love to experiment, and the Gehraiyaan remix was also one such experience, which worked well for me," he says.

Getting signed by a huge music label is a dream come true moment for him and he hopes for better opportunities with this. "I hope the partnership continues and I get signed by a big label. I am not officially signed to any record label yet. My parents are so happy. Even I'm still so elated. It's such a different feeling, I'm still trying to process. My family is so proud of me. This is like validation for me, and they believe in me, after all these years, especially my dad, who's usually strict with a career like mine. My friends and peers are happy, they're proud of me and they've shared the song widely," he says.
