Goa celebrates World Tourism Day
On World Tourism Day toady, a variety of programmes were conducted all over the state. It began with a warm welcome of tourists at the Goa International Airport, Dabolim along with a brass band and distribution of flowers and sweets. Tourists were also welcomed at the Konkan Railway Station, Margao.
An entertainment boat cruise trip was arranged for special children on the Santa Monica.

Students from Hatma Vishwas School for special children, Tuem, Parsem and Lok Vishwas Pratishthan’s school for Special Children, Davli, Ponda attended the boat cruise ride packed with fun, games and entertainment.
Similarly World Tourism Day was also celebrated at St Xavier’s College, Mapusa followed by Hop on-Hop off bus tours arranged for entertainment of school students.
During the day, quiz contests were held at the Directorate of Art and Culture, Panaji and Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. There was an elocution competition at Multipurpose Hall at the Department of Arts and Culture, Panaji. A Drawing competition was also conducted at Fine Art College, Panaji.
