Benaulikars rescue five turtles trapped in nets

The rolling shore of

Benaulim beach

was witness to a rescue mission.

Local lads

on a stroll along the beachfront chanced upon five stranded

turtles

. The boys swiftly sprung to the aid of these stranded endangered creatures and safely released them into the sea.

The locals were surprised to find the turtles washed up on the shore caught in

fishing nets

. As they were freed from the nets one of the locals gives a brief soliloquy. Wherein he says "To have these turtles in our environment is a blessing and a gift of God and we ought to be thankful. In these trying times when we are short of meat some people might kill these turtles but we must realize their importance." And they proceeded to release the turtles back into the waters of the

Arabian Sea

. We applaud these locals and their act of kindness and the brief yet powerful lesson they taught us in this moment.
