A Goan short film on the emotional cost of fight against COVID-19

A film that highlights immense sacrifice of

COVID warriors

and the

emotional toll

it takes on their loved ones. Director Sushant Nayak, in his film ‘It is going to be Red’ tries to explain to viewers about how COVID warriors work tirelessly towards the creating a safer space for us and how we should strive to make it safe for them.

“The film is portrays a situation of a family and how important it is to keep oneself safe but also the others. If we don’t behave sensible, responsibly things many get worse. Lot of films, ads are made on what precautions have to be taken, but we have concentrated on the emotional aspect of the film. The warriors are working day in and out, the film is focusing on their family lives,” informs Sushant.

The partial lockdown is made for people to sell

essentials goods

but a lot of locals are seen loitering around, not maintaining social distances and crowding around places which are not essential like liquor stores. “To make people understand that anyone can get the virus, and because of us someone who is not at fault is also at risk. We wanted to create an awareness film to educate people and made it in Hindi as it is a global issue, we thought that people all around could get the message,” informs Sushant.
