Goa Tourism Champions Regenerative Travel at SATTE 2026
Goa Tourism made a vibrant and impactful mark on Day 1 of SATTE 2026, held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, with the event inaugurated by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
During his visit, the Hon’ble Minister toured the striking Goa Tourism pavilion and interacted warmly with the State’s official delegation comprising Jayesh Kankonkar, Assistant Director (Tourism); Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), Goa Tourism Development Corporation; and Chitra Vengurlekar, Assistant Tourist Officer. The delegation presented Goa’s forward-looking vision, sustainable strategies, and regenerative tourism roadmap to the Minister. “SATTE remains a key platform for connecting with domestic and global stakeholders,” said Jayesh Kankonkar, Assistant Director (Tourism). “This year, Goa’s focus is on reinforcing our commitment to Regenerative Tourism — positioning the State as a holistic, year-round destination. The interest and engagement on Day 1 have been extremely encouraging.” Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), added, “The enthusiasm at the pavilion reflects the growing confidence in Goa’s tourism ecosystem. We’ve had valuable discussions around experiential travel, sustainability, and visitor experience. SATTE provides an ideal space to build new partnerships and strengthen our presence across markets.”
The Goa Tourism pavilion stood out for its immersive design, offering a panoramic view of the State’s diverse offerings — from its iconic coastline and heritage landmarks to its vibrant hinterlands and emerging experiential circuits. A steady stream of delegates and trade visitors engaged with the team, exploring Goa’s latest initiatives, upgraded infrastructure, and thematic tourism products.
A major highlight was Goa’s pioneering introduction of Regenerative Tourism — making it the first Indian State to champion this progressive model that prioritizes people, environment, and economy. The approach drew strong interest from both national and international buyers seeking meaningful and sustainable travel experiences.
Adding to the visual and emotional appeal was the promotion of the “Live the Feeling” campaign, which invites travellers to discover the true essence of Goa — beyond its beaches — through its communities, culture, and creative spirit.
With its dynamic showcase at SATTE 2026, Goa Tourism reaffirmed its leadership in innovation, sustainability, and destination marketing — setting the tone for a future-ready travel narrative that resonates across India and beyond.
