Fascinators add zing to a historic race
Fab fashion and an electric atmosphere ruled the Reserve Stand during 2,800-metre Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Race – the longest winter race and one of the oldest in Kolkata – that kicked off on a high note on Saturday afternoon. As the horses raced towards the finish line, we scanned the stands and lawns for special moments and fashionistas. We weren’t disappointed.
Race Day chic
With an emphasis on elegance and style, the attendees showed up in spring pastels and bright hues and a dazzling array of fascinators. Wide-brimmed hats also added a touch of classic elegance. While the ladies added a personal touch to their outfits with accessories, the men looked crisp and clean in well-tailored formals.
