JMC girls couldn’t help their excitement when the band Groove Adda rocked their fest eve. Aditi Singh Sharma, the lead singer of the band, said that she loved JMCwallahs for being a wonderful audience. “I graduated from Venky, so it’s always fun when I perform in DU. This year, we performed at many DU colleges, and the crowd here is amazing,” said Aditi, who came specially to Delhi for the concerts.
band baaja le ke aaya: The crowd went crazy over the band’s bass guitarist Gaurav Balani, who was playing along with keyboardist Sanchit Balhara, fellow guitarist Bhaskar Gurung and drummer Vishal Mehta. The band played a blend of desi beats with Bollywood numbers like “Aahun Aahun”, “Oye Lucky Lucky Oye”, “Bachna Ae Haseeno”, “Sajna Ji Vari Vari”, amongst others.
ACTVITIES: Apart from the rocking concert, Montage 2011 had also organised street plays, choreography competitions, art exhibitions and Western and Indian dance competitions.
