Art can soothe: Artist Vinod Sharma’s paintings, as the guests discovered, were colourful, to say the least. His panoramic landscapes, playing with light and shadows, and the windy open spaces, had a very soothing effect on the viewers. “He just lets colours fly and take their own course,” said a guest.

Present to inaugurate Vinod’s exhibition was artist Jogen Choudhary. And we later found him busy in conversation with Vijay Lakshmi Dogra, who was her usual graceful self.
Painted transportation! Two ladies who were having a good time were Madhu and Samiksha. They liked the paintings and had a great time going through all the ones on display. “One gets transported into these scenic landscapes if you keep looking at them for long,” said Madhu.
Arty friends: A lot of friends from the art fraternity got together to look at Vinod’s works. Shamshad Husain, Amitava Das, Gopi Gajwani, Preeti Verma, Veer Munshi, Suneet Chopra, Alka Raghuvanshi and Keshav Malik were all there.
Bulbul Sharma put in an appearance too – it was after a considerable period of time that she was seen socialising. But inspite of having made a late appearance, she spent enough time to leave everybody smiling.
