The culture and art frat turned up to celebrate with guests from the embassies, and the hosts of the evening, Patrizia Raveggi and Olaf Kjelsen, welcomed everyone warmly.
WORDS OF PRAISE: Patrizia was all praise for her Indian friends and Indian women. She said, “I am overwhelmed by the strength and understanding that the Indian women are an epitome of. In many ways, they are similar to Italian women. I have some wonderful friends in India. I am completely in love with the confluence of various cultures here.”
WANT A BITE? Roshan Seth came in minutes before the do began and was quite pleased to have been able to make it on time. Danseuse Shovana Narayan was at her courteous best and even offered many a bite from her dinner plate.
VC Burman and Monika walked in fashionably late. Artist Jatin Das admonished the shutterbugs, asking them first go and watch his ongoing show and then click his photograph. Sanchaita came with parents Uma Gajapati Raju and Ramesh Sharma. Poonam Bhagat looked pretty in an unusually cut blue skirt. Blossom Kochhar also walked in with her hubby.
