The crowning moments...
WAY TO START: The hunt for Mr & Miss DT 2008 came to a close when the top 11 contestants performed, walked the ramp and fielded judges questions to showcase their talent, confidence and oratorial skills. The show, organised at Elevate, started with a live performance by the band, Advaita.
The bands contemporary fusion music had the crowd sing along and groove to numbers like Govinda Hare Hare and Laakh Jatan.

I was really anxious, but their performance helped me calm down, said one of the finalists, Pranav Bhasin of DCAC.
WALK THE RAMP: There were certainly no amateurish fears when the finalists walked the ramp with much elan. While Nikhil Budhiraja of Hindu College, the second runner-up, wanted to appear like Salman Khan for which he had put in extra efforts, Hitesh Rai of Sri Venkateswara College, the first runner-up, felt fantastic about giving his best. We must say both managed to woo the girls. Vandana Dahiya, from Kamala Nehru College, the first runner-up, said, I was just being myself on the ramp.
TALENT ROUND: Subsequent to the first round, the contestants had to give a 2-minute-long performance on a soundtrack chosen by them. Combating all fears, Sanjana Grover, of Hindu College, emerged as confident enough to dance on a track played by DJ Khushi. Since the my CD didnt work, I chose to perform on Kismat Konnection, she said. In Subhashree, from Gargi, DU found its very own Shakira. Nayantra Sahunik from Sri Venkateswara College, performed on Kajara Re. Siddharth Srivastava, from DCAC, also jived to an English number.
HAPPY ABOUT IT: Pranav is glad that the event helped him garner popularity. Getting pictures published in newspapers is not an ordinary thing. People have started adding me to their social networking accounts.
And the prizes are: Apart from adding to their popularity quotient, the winners may get a year-long contract with Shoot Talent Management agency. The six winners will also get mobile phones from RPG cellucom. Emcee Kanishk also gave away special gifts to those in the crowd who had a black cellphone or a red lipstick.
