Tarun Tahiliani's Qavalli party

Tarun Tahiliani, who made his debut in the Mens Week on Friday, was seen introducing his “very good friend” Samandar Manganiyar to all his other friends in the party after his show on Day I.
Samandar and his troupe are musicians from Barmer, Rajasthan, and performed for Tarun’s show as well as during the do. The audience loved them, and spent the major part of the after party (called the Qavalli Party) dancing to their tunes.Samandar told us, “I performed for Tarunji last year for the first time.” Along with his troupe, he’s performed in 72 countries. But what’s special about the Delhi audience? Samandar replied, “Dilli ki audience surili hai. They understand music. You have to be able to meet people’s expectations.” Judging by the reactions he got – with Gudda, Sunil Sethi and company dancing into the night – it sure looked like he exceeded expectations!
